Also, for Step It Up, I needed to make a few custom parts and utilized Onshape to 3D model parts and 3D print them on a Makerbot. Keep scrolling to learn more...
HOW I DESIGNED IT:
To 3D print this part, pictured above, I used calipers to measure the Outside Diameter (O.D.) of the PVC pipe. My first design was too tight, so for later designs, I made it so there was a little give to the part. The clamp goes around the PVC pipe, then is tightened by a small hex nut and a Philips head machine screw. It took several prints to get it right, but the end result works great!
